They then should work with management to develop and establish a customized plan that will effectively and efficiently implement ISO 9001 into a company organization. Instead of finding ways to mold a business around ISO 9001, ISO 9001 consultants should look at how requirements of ISO 9001 fit the current business model and start from there.
